Barista
We are a fast-paced, vibrant brunch spot dedicated to providing exceptional food and coffee experiences. We pride ourselves on offering high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We are seeking a high energy, passionate and skilled Barista with specialty coffee experience to join our team and help us serve outstanding coffee to our guests.
What you'll do
- Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee beverages with precision and consistency
- Educate guests about different coffee blends, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and equipment
- Monitor stock levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Provide excellent customer service, engaging with guests and creating a welcoming environment
- Follow health and safety standards in all aspects of coffee preparation and service
- Assist in training new team members on coffee procedures and standards
What we need from you
- Proven experience as a barista, with a focus on specialty coffee brewing methods (e.g., pour-over, brewed, espresso)
- Deep knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and equipment
- Passion for coffee and the hospitality industry
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Fluency in English and Portuguese (both mandatory)
Nice to have
- Certification from a recognized specialty coffee program (e.g., SCA Coffee Skills Program)
- Barista training with 2 to 5 years of experience
- Knowledge of food and beverage pairing
